Hi everyone, This week I'm walking through the TOLD I:5 for students ages 8 through 17. I think of this test as a tough test partially because there is only one subtest with visual support. However, it's much faster and feels more academic than the CELF5. What do you think? Watch: TOLD I:5 Full Walkthrough I think there is a place and a time for most assessments and this can give you some information that can help you plan intervention for older students. ********* Back when I was providing teletherapy as my main job (2016-2020), I used IXL off and on because it made it easy for me to share an activity over the computer with my students. They had a Spanish section, which I appreciated. That was a long time ago and I can only imagine they have even more to offer. Long time no see, friends! My last emails came out in June when I was on a roll with a new video every week. But July got busy (college visits with my older son and also work work) and I didn't have time to edit my videos or send any emails. I guess that's just life! Hi everyone, This week I'm walking through the Test of Word Finding, 3rd edition. And I like it a lot. Finding a good test of word finding is important because we've all had those clients who really struggle to find words. What I like about this test is that there are two main components. The first easel you administer to test clients' abilities to find a word when given a picture, without a picture, and then verbs. Then after you are done with that, you get out the comprehension check easel....
